Disciples of All Nations…
After the first block of the BMS in Karlsruhe, staff and students will depart on a 3-month missions trip. The destination of the outreach will vary from year to year.
Go and make disciples of all nations – that is God’s call to us. During this outreach time, we want to reach people of different cultures with the love of God, and experience what it means to live as a missionary. Many students experience God speaking to them about their calling during outreaches.
The outreach will certainly challenge students. They will encounter poverty, need, new cultures, and new religions. It may also be the longest time that they’ve ever spent away from home. However, they are sure to experience God working through them, and experience life-changing encounters; which will further their world perspective.
Traveling like the Apostles…
No money, no luggage, only God. For those who want to, and depending on the outreach location, students may have the chance to take a slightly different journey home. As a practical element of the 'apostolic evangelism' course, students will be part of a team of four who will make their way back to Karlsruhe with no money, and a minimum amount of luggage. En route, their task will be to preach the gospel. A couple of starting points over the last couple of years include: Istanbul, Stockholm, and Budapest.
Lisa (22): "During the last year, my focus became continually more clear to me. I want to give everything I have to God, and to make Him the most important thing in my life. Throughout the 2 ½ Month Outreach, my view on foreign countries has totally changed. Now I know that can feel at home all over the world, and God used the outreach to talk to me about my future."
