The BMS year is divided up into three main blocks: Block 1 and 3 take place in Karlsruhe, block 2 in another country. Usually, students will learn the destination of the 2 ½ -month missions trip shortly before the school starts.
Block 1 - Karlsruhe (Beginning of October through the End of December)
Block 2 – 2 ½ -month missions trip (Beginning of January through the mid March)
Block 3 - Karlsruhe (middle of March through the beginning of July)
During the student's time in Karlsruhe, they will have the opportunity to take part in weekend outreaches, prayer nights, and evangelistic events, in addition to the regular school program. There will usually be two free weekends per month.
Over Christmas and Easter, there are two week holidays. Making four weeks holiday in total. Students also have the option of staying in their room during these holiday periods.
At the end of the school year, they will usually have the option of continuing to live in their room for three further months. We are always grateful to have people who support our summer outreaches or who are able to continue the local ministries here in Karlsruhe. A longer-term involvement with GOSPELTRIBE is also possible, once the Bible and Missions school are completed.
A Regular Week…
A typical BMS week is made up of 12-15 hours of lessons, evangelism, prayer and worship times, study tasks, practical work, and fellowship. Occasionally, we change the weekly schedule to fit in a special highlight.
Miriam (29): "Through the lessons, outreach, community life, feedback, and prayer, I was able to learn so much. It is a privilege to be in a Bible School where they really look after every single person, their relationship with God, their growth, and character building. The outreaches to the different countries have given me a new view of fellowship, hospitality, poverty, joy, and thankfulness. Again and again, I realize how important and worth it is to invest in other people.“
